Francis Mwaura Dr. Francis Mwaura is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Geography & Environmental Studies at University of Nairobi, Kenya. He is a specialist in biodiversity, and natural resources management and has previously served as Guest Lecturer at the School for Field Studies, an affiliate of Boston University, USA and the Kenya Wildlife Service Training Institute (KWSTI). Throughout his professional career of over 20 years, Dr. Mwaura has also advised more than 20 governmental and intergovernmental organizations on biodiversity related topics. These include services as Lead Author of the Africa Chapter of “UNEP Global Environment Outlook (GEO-5)” and Lead Consultant for the “Total Economic Valuation of the Arid & Semi-arid Areas of Kenya” funded by World Bank. He is a member of several professional associations including the Kenya Institute of Environmental Impact Assessors & Auditors, International Association of Hydro-geologists (IAH), and Kenya Forests Working Group (KFWG). He holds a PhD in Biogeography & Environment (University of Nairobi, Kenya).
	Hideyuki Sugawara Prof. Hideyuki Sugawara is a Professor of International Business at the Graduate School of Business Administration, Hokkai-Gakuen University, Japan and a leading expert of BOP (Base / Bottom of Pyramid), focusing on African and Asian countries. He previously served as Associate Professor of International Investment for the Faculty of Social Sciences, Kyorin University, Japan, after having teaching in several Japanese graduate schools as well as overseas, including in the USA and the UK. In addition to his academic career, he was active in the private sector, where he was appointed Director of the E-brain Corporation, Tokyo, and Managing Director of the International Business Institute, Inc., Tokyo. Prof. Hideyuki Sugawara is a member of the Japanese Academy of International Business, Japan Academy of International Business Studies and Japan Society of International Economics. He holds a PhD in Business (Graduate School of Commerce, Waseda University, Japan).
	Wendy Jackson Dr. Wendy Jackson is the Senior Officer of the New Zealand CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora) Management Authority (Department of Conservation). In this capacity, she leads implementation and operation of CITES in New Zealand. She has previously worked for the United Nations Environment Programme, the International Institute for Sustainable Development, Trade and Industrial Policy Strategies (a research and policy think-tank in South Africa), and Environment Canada. Her area of specialization is international wildlife trade, while she has also worked in the general trade / environment field for over ten years. Furthermore, Dr. Jackson co-founded and led a Kenya-based NGO called Elfubob Club Kenya, which operated from 2003 to 2008 funding small-scale social and environmental projects proposed by community organizations and individuals. She holds a PhD in International Environmental Policy (Lincoln University – Christchurch, New Zealand).
