ETA Green Buildings Article Featured in the Magazine Diplomat East Africa
In September, Global Village Publishers (EA) Limited published an article about ETA on Diplomat East Africa (see pages 36 – 38), a monthly magazine distributed to both private and public sector organizations, incl. UN agencies, international cooperation agencies, embassies and governmental organizations in East Africa. ETA’s article introduced the concept of green buildings, their certificate schemes around the world, and their future trends.
ETA Performs Environmental Monitoring at Bujumbura Port in Burundi
ETA was assigned an environmental monitoring project for the expansion of Bujumbura Port, Burundi in August. ETA conducted air, water, soil, and lake sediment sampling, and assessed in-situ and ex-situ monitoring results based on national, regional and international standards.
Volunteer Clean-Up Campaigns in Mukuru and Kibera
ETA participated in voluntary clean-up campaigns in Mukuru and Kibera slums in Nairobi in July to raise residents’ awareness about clean environments and improving their hygiene practices.
Update on ETA Internal Green Initiatives
Based on ETA’s corporate policy, ETA investigated environmentally-friendly office paper and procured FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified paper and post-consumer paper in Nairobi. Learn more>>
ETA Awarded its First Agricultural Project with GRIPS
As its first agricultural/academic project, ETA obtained an assignment from National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS) to undertake a survey on Kenyan horticultural farmers.
ETA Facilitates Public Meetings in Mukuru and Kibera Slums
ETA assisted Nairobi City County (NCC) and Japan International Cooperation Agency Expert Team (JET) in preparation and facilitation of large public meetings in Mukuru and Kibera Slums in July. Learn more>>
