Completion of Contract with LIXIL Corporation
In September and October, ETA completed a second research project under contract with LIXIL Corporation, the largest housing and building materials company in Japan. The research topics ranged from demographics to water quality and quantity.

ETA Awarded a Second Contact by Wellthy Corporation
In September, ETA was awarded a contract by Wellthy Corporation for the second time to support its water purification project in Kiambu County in Kenya. This project is financed by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). ETA’s major task in the course of this assignment is to coordinate joint activities between Wellthy Corporation and local water service provider officials.

JICA, AfDB, and IFC Financial Seminar
In September, ETA participated in a financial seminar “Promoting Private Finance and Investment in Kenya”, which was hosted by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in collaboration with the African Development Bank (AfDB) and International Finance Corporation (IFC) at Sarova Panafric Hotel, Nairobi, Kenya. Third Phase of a Battery Restoration Project with Environmental Life Technology Limited
In August, Environmental Life Technology Limited requested that ETA continue providing services for the battery restoration project into its third phase. Tasks include the following:

  1. Market analysis of used batteries in Nairobi and identification of their original sources.
  2. Follow-up interviews with users of the client’s products to assess project impact through statistical analysis.
  3. Relationship building support between the client and local business partners in Machakos and Nairobi Counties.
