ETA Facilitates a Charity Football Tournament
In September, ETA facilitated a charity football tournament as a CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) activity to raise funds for children affected by the 3.11 northeast-Japan earthquake and tsunami. Football teams of United Nations Office in Nairobi (UNON), Kenyan Technical Teacher College (KTTC) and Japanese Association in Kenya cooperated for the success of this event. Among these football teams, honorable individual sponsors, Mr. Sakonda, Mr. Chiofalo, Mr. Vatinel, Ms. Yamamoto and Mr. Horaguchi, contributed to this fundraising campaign. Fukushima United Football Club and 11-aside Ltd., purchased footballs from the proceeds of this charity event that was held in Kenya, and ex-Japanese professional football players, Mr. Endo and Mr. Takada, gave them to children in Fukushima on 1 July 2012.
