ETA visited Raila Village of Kibera Slum to meet with Unistar Enterprise, a youth group on 25 March 2012. ETA promised to provide its members with a voluntary consulting service to support their business plan development.

ETA Participates in a Natural Resources Management Programme Forum
Upon request of Institute for Law and Environmental Governance (ILEG), ETA participated in the second annual forum of the Natural Resources Management Programme (NRMP) at the Kenyan International Conference Center in Nairobi on 22 and 23 March 2012. The Embassy of Denmark funded this event and the Ministry of Environment, The National Environment Management Authority (NEMA), The Office of the Prime Minister and other partners from both public and private sectors attended this forum to discuss the theme, ‘Promoting a Green Economy at County Level’. ETA was invited to the “climate change, environment and energy efficiency workshop” which was held at Safari Park Hotel, Nairobi from 1 to 2 March. This event was organized and funded by Kenya Institute of Administration (KIA), The University of North Texas (UNT), German International Co-operation Agency (GIZ), Envirofit International and the Adaptation Learning Mechanism (ALM), and Envirofit Consultants Inc. ETA Reaches Out to a Youth Group in Mathare Slum about Energy and Waste Solutions
ETA visited Mashimoni Village of Mathare Slum to meet with a youth group on 20 February 2012. With members of the youth group, ETA discussed how to conduct a needs assessment on energy and waste solutions for inhabitants of informal settlements (slums).
